Chambre de la sécurité financière
The Chambre de la sécurité financière (CSF) is a self-regulatory organisation who’s main objective is to protect consumers by maintaining discipline over ethics standards within Quebec’s financial sectors as well as training and professional development of representatives licensed and working in:
- Group Savings Brokerage
- Financial Planning
- Scholarship Plan Brokerage
- Investment Contract Brokerage
- Insurance of Persons
- Group Insurance of Persons
The CSF has recently updated its continuing education requirements in order to incorporate training in ethics and compliance standards. If you are a licensed professional in one of the above listed disciplines, you will need to accumulate 10 PDUs in compliance, 10 PDUs in general subjects and 10 PDUs in each of the disciplines for which you are certified. All PDUs must be completed before November 30th 2009. Note: the grace period granted in previous years has been eliminated.
