About Jocelyne Durand
Jocelyne’s specialty is taxation. She obtained her Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1982 after completing a BCom and Post Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University.
Her work experience includes high level positions with the Federal Government and non profit organizations as well as in the private sector. Most recently, Jocelyne has become an independent broker selling a wide range of financial products through the firm Gestion Financière Plus.
Jocelyne has also had notable experience in teaching. Before joining EB Knowledge Centre, she has taught accountancy at Université du Québec à Montreal (UQAM), helping students prepare for certification exams for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified General Accountant (CGA) designations. She also taught taxation of Life/Group Insurance of Persons for Primerica and Vanier College helping a great number of students begin a career in the Insurance sector.
Jocelyne brings diversified work experience as well as concrete teaching experience to the classroom. She has taught in a wide array of settings and to very different audiences. She is able to adapt her teaching skills and is known for her patience, methodical pace and ability to simplify complex taxation concepts.
